The CLUSTERJET system uses standard network components to transmit the print data generated by the print servers to the print modules. Usually, several modules are connected via a gigabit-capable switch to the PC controlling them.

In a network consisting of good components, transfer rates of between 85 and 90 MB per second are usually achieved. In addition to reliable transmission, even in an industrial environment, Ethernet technology offers maximum flexibility and is easy to install.

After each transmission, the print data is checked for integrity by a CRC procedure. Misprinting due to transmission errors is not possible.
